Tietto Minerals’ own fleet of drill rigs has been churning away in Africa amid tightening restrictions globally. The company has tabled further high grade results from its Abuja gold project in Côte d’Ivoire with 7 metres grading 9.38 grams per tonne gold from 259m that includes one metre going 53.49g/t gold headlining the numbers.

The new gold intercepts have extended the Abujar‐Gludehi deposit by another 100m below the existing resource, which is still open in all directions.

Results from another hole include 4m grading 5.06g/t gold from 318m.

The company has drilled a total of seven diamond drill holes and results have come in for five, with assays now awaited for just two holes.

Tietto has been on a roll recently with its development diamond drilling at its Abuja project. In early March it hit a 10m zone grading 12.09g/t gold from 286m and a 6m zone grading 9.35g/t gold from 317m downhole.

Tietto Managing Director, Dr Caigen Wang, said: “These results will add more ounces to the high‐grade core of the AG resource (19.3Mt @ 2.2g/t Au for 1.38Moz) in the upcoming resource update in Q3 2020.”

The ASX-listed company has been making good on its plan to pump 50,000 metres worth of fully funded drilling into its Abujar project.

It began preparing for the worst amid the Coronavirus chaos in early February and said today that it has plenty of supplies to last as it seeks to get Abujar scrubbed up and production ready.
