Premium food offerings from one of Perth’s best chefs, quality end-to-end service and flexible booking policies at a large event space is heaven post 2020. Optus Stadium is known for its roaring crowds and competitive competitions, but it’s also home to many unique event spaces which host a diverse array of gatherings from weddings and cocktail parties, to conferences and business expos. When we asked what she had witnessed in the event space, Optus Stadium meetings and special events sales manager Nadia Owen said although she had noticed a shift, she had also noticed the people of Perth were not slowing down and felt lucky to proceed with her usual fast-paced and productive clients.

“We have been incredibly lucky in Perth to bounce back to ‘normal’ so quickly after the first lockdown, and whilst there have been some challenges, business events have flourished,” Ms Owen said.

“We are fortunate to have picked up on a lot of business that would typically use hotel ballrooms.”

Because Optus Stadium is a venue of such grandeur, it can enforce government safety measures and host large-scale events —that are not limited— at the same time.

“People see us as safe, which is great – because we are,” Ms Owen said.

Overall, the stadiums services continue to include a unique experience in partnership with their clients to help them bring their visions to life.

“We do it all — weddings, school balls, conferences, Christmas parties, gala dinners, the list is endless,” Ms Owen said.

The versatility of the venue is what makes it befitting for people seeking any event, with indoor function rooms, outdoor greenfield sites and restaurant spaces.

The balls, banquets and gala dinners room includes a congruent backdrop of attractive views with award winning food and a friendly and fun style of service. For a Christmas party, Optus Stadium comes to life with music, dancing and good cheer. Have a conference lit with natural light in a room with floor to ceiling windows — paired with state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities which have successfully staged many hybrid and virtual events. Bring your small meeting or seminar to a non-traditional environment, and book and impress with the corporate hospitality suit. For something larger, the expo and trade locations provide open air facilities and creative locations to host with the added benefit of free parking.

“We have always viewed ourselves as a partner to our clients – our job is to make them look good so that their guests see value in attending their events,” Ms Owen said.

Because Ms Owen and her team are relationship focused, they are always willing to work through an idea with their clients in order to find what is most appropriate for the most effective impact.

“We are a creative bunch and love to think outside of the box to help our clients create a memorable event,” Ms Owen said.
