Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are brewing up nostalgia after confirming that Hocus Pocus is getting a sequel.

The witchy trio starred in the iconic 1993 Disney film Hocus Pocus and have cast a spell of surprise on fans this morning after confirming they are set to reprise their roles.

Middler took to her Twitter to announce there would be a Hocus Pocus 2, writing: “Sistaaaaahs! It’s been 300 years ... But we’re BACK!”

Najimy joked that she can “smell children ... again”, while Parker took to her Instagram to write: “Yep. I’m ready. To run. Amok, amok, amok, amok.”

While little has been revealed about how Disney plan to revive the classic almost 30 years on, it has been confirmed that the plot will again include a revival — of sorts.

The threesome will be brought back to life by three younger women who are living in modern day Salem.

In the first Hocus Pocus, Parker, Midler and Najimy’s characters were accidentally revived centuries after they were hanged during the Salem witch trials.

But fans are going to have to wait a year and let that cauldron bubble, with the movie not hitting Disney Plus until late next year.

Sarah Jessica Parker is also starring in a reboot of Sex and The City.

Parker’s schedule will be dotted with reunions after confirming that she would also be returning for a reboot of Sex and The City.

The new series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte — as well as new friend Che Diaz, played by former Greys Anatomy star Sara Ramirez — as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.

Ramirez will play a “non-binary, queer stand up comedian that hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured”.

The 10-episode series is scheduled to begin production in New York this year.
