Charity soap to ease crisis

As soaps and sanitisers continue to fly off supermarket shelves a local business is doing its part to ensure the community’s most vulnerable do not miss out.

Mount Romance Sandalwood Factory has donated more than 3000 mini bars of soap to community and not-for-profit groups.

Albany Community Hospice and Albany Foodbank are among the many local organisations benefiting from the initiative.

Mount Romance retail and tourism manager Tanya Robbins said the community’s response had been overwhelmingly positive.

“We have plenty of soaps and we thought during these trying times we’d be happy to get some soap out there into our local community via not-for-profit businesses and charity organisations that need a helping hand,” she said.

“We are all in it together and we are in a fortunate position to be able to do what we can and support our community.”

The Mount Romance showrooms remain open to the public with a drive through service available.
