Dozens of passionate regional footballers, past and present put their loyalties aside on Thursday evening for the 2024 Nutrien Ag Solutions Country Football Championships launch night. The annual tournament brings players and spectators from all corners of the State to Perth, all vying for the ultimate bragging rights over their regional counterparts. Those rivalries were all put to one side at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on Thursday evening as patrons enjoyed flowing drinks and delightful food provided by Subiaco Football Club. Regional football icons Terry Waldron, Ken Baxter and Nutrien Ag Solutions’ Steve Wright joined the stage to give an entertaining insight into their glory days. WA Country Football president and Albany’s Mel Sulzberger proudly welcomed all to the event and highlighted their celebrated 50-year partnership with loyal partner Nutrien Ag Solutions. West Coast Eagles stars Jamie Cripps, originally from Northampton, and Matt Flynn also attended the event and WA Football Commission’s Jack Crawshaw MC’d the event.
