IN PICTURES: Master Builders Association Trade Expo offers Albany tradespeople a look at new local products

Tradies and building enthusiasts alike came together on Friday for the Master Builders Trade Expo Great Southern. Hosted at the Master Builders Association building on Graham Street, the three-hour convention offered patrons 30 stalls featuring products from local businesses. Attendees flitted from stall to stall learning about new building products and energy-efficient appliances as well as brushing up their catalogues of tools, tiles, flooring and window furnishings. The event was an excellent networking opportunity for businesses to connect and for tradespeople to see what the industry offers. Guests enjoyed drinks and a free sausage sizzle with MBA regional manager Linda Gibbs manning the barbecue. Ms Gibbs said the event encouraged attendees to utilise the new products and materials available on the market. “Most people default to what they know, so this event was to make people aware of what they can get and how much better the new products are to build with,” she said. “The people I spoke with said it was really good to attend and the companies displaying felt it was very worthwhile having a display and they had plenty of enquiries.”
