Detectives are still conducting inquiries into the death of a Margaret River woman found on the side of Bussell Highway last month.

Rachel Jewell, 39, was not believed to have died as a result of any criminality and WA Police have stressed there were no ongoing risks to the public.

However, a cause of death was still not reported as South West detectives prepared a report for the Coroner.

A police spokeswoman said the Coroner would give a formal finding on Ms Jewell’s cause of death in due course.

The woman’s body was found by a couple in their 50s during an early morning walk on June 14.
