AUSMAT worker in Howard Springs quarantine
The Northern Territory has recorded another positive COVID-19 case after an infected AUSMAT worker returned to Australia from East Timor.
The Australian Medical Assistance Team member returned from Dili on Wednesday and has tested positive for the virus, NT Health said on Friday.
The worker is undergoing 14 days of mandatory supervised quarantine at the Howard Springs facility, which is also known as the Centre for National Resilience.
AUSMAT personnel were sent to East Timor in April to help tackle a COVID-19 outbreak in the wake of devastating flooding.
