Roger Cook press conference: WA Health Minister delivers latest on COVID fight

The West Australian
VideoHealth Minister Roger Cook has revealed there's a new case of COVID-19 — just days after Perth and Peel came out of a four-day snap lockdown.

One new case of COVID-19 has been recorded in WA overnight as Deputy Premier and Health Minister Roger Cook unleashed his frustration at the lack of vaccines available.

Mr Cook said every state’s vaccine rollout was hamstrung by the lack of vaccines available although WA at least had the highest proportion of people of any state or territory to have been administered one inoculation.

“We are immensely frustrated like every state in Australia is about the amount of vaccines we have coming to us, but we don’t have control over that that’s the Commonwealth issue,” Mr Cook said.

“We (Australia) have the lowest percentage of fully vaccinated people.”
