The rider pulled into a service station at the intersection of Champion Drive, before pulling out again and heading in the opposite direction down Gillam Drive.

The bike crashed into a dark grey, unmarked Holden Commodore sedan police car.

The rider received serious leg injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital. The occupants of the police car were not injured.
