Teenage boy, 16, in induced coma after being stabbed in Kelmscott, WA

A 16-year-old boy is in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital after a shocking stabbing attack in Perth’s south eastern suburbs. The stabbing - which has resulted in the teenager losing his spleen - has now prompted a major police investigation. Police say the stabbing happened on Friday about 3pm on Ravenscroft Way, near Regina Drive in Kelmscott. The stabbing erupted when a fight broke out between approximately six youths, some of whom were armed with knives. “During the altercation, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to the stomach area and is in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital,” a police spokeswoman said. “His spleen has been removed and he will require further surgery and he remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.” Detectives are seeking to identify the two people pictured who can assist them with this investigation. One male is described as light skinned, with short brown hair, and was wearing a black t-shirt with a white motif, black shorts, and white shoes. The second male is described as light skinned, with a moustache, and was wearing a black jacket, black pants with a white stripe, black shoes, and a black cap.
