A man accused of threatening a supermarket worker with a knife will face court this morning charged with armed robbery.

Police allege the 25-year-old held-up a shop on Preston Street in Como about 10am on March 25, placing energy drinks in his pocket and backpack before attempting to leave the store without paying.

It is alleged when challenged by a staff member, he pulled and knife and made threats.

The man, from Coodanup, has been charged by Cannington Detectives with one count of armed robbery.

He is due to face Perth Magistrate’s Court today.
