Man charged over Sydney beach bashing
A teen is set to face a NSW court after allegedly striking a man and causing him to fall and hit the back of his head on Sydney's northern beaches.
The incident occurred near the rock pools at Fairlight on January 10, with the 26-year-old allegedly assaulted by the teen after an argument.
He was struck and fell backwards, hitting his head on the ground. He underwent emergency surgery but has since left hospital.
Police raided a Lane Cove house on Tuesday and seized clothes, with a 19-year-old man arrested around midday and charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and stalking offences.
He was refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court on Wednesday.
