Police are questioning a man wanted over a shooting in Gosnells earlier this week, but another remains on the run and may be armed.

A car was stolen from Maddington last Friday and a group of offenders later tried to use credit cards taken from inside the vehicle at two petrol stations in Armadale, police said.

On Monday morning, the car was involved in a fuel drive-off at a petrol station in Maddington, then about two hours later police tried to stop the car in Gosnells but the driver sped off.

A 17-year-old boy and a 42-year-old woman were questioned on Wednesday, but two men remained on the run.

Police said on Thursday that Jerry Yarran, 29, had been found and was being questioned.

Detectives are still looking for Wendell Garlett, 30, who police believe can assist with their investigation.

He is described as dark skinned, about 174cm tall, with black hair.

“Members of the public are advised not to approach Mr Garlett as he is unpredictable and may have access to weapons,” a police spokeswoman said.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately on 131 444.
