One woman fighting for life and another seriously injured after car crashes into Collie pub

One woman is fighting for life and another has been seriously injured after a car crashed into the wall of a pub in Collie last night.

Police were called to the scene at Crown Hotel on Throssell Street at about 11pm after receiving reports that two pedestrians had been injured after a car hit a pub wall, causing it to collapse.

A 23-year-old woman was flown to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition and is undergoing surgery, while an 18-year-old woman is being treated for serious injuries at Collie Hospital.

A man is currently being questioned by police and the investigation is ongoing.

Collie Police have closed off a section of Throssell St, between Mungalup Rd and Steere St Sth, and are advising traffic to avoid the area.
