A Victorian dad who won more than $1m in Saturday’s Tattslotto draw says an early retirement is now “on the cards”.

The Hasting’s father held one of the five division one winning entries in draw 4453, crediting his mammoth win of $1,041,027 to the six numbers chosen by himself and his family years ago.

“My wife, daughter and I chose these numbers five years ago. I decided I would commit to purchasing regular Tattslotto tickets and asked them to choose six numbers,” he told the Lott.

“I’ve stuck with those numbers ever since.”

The man learnt about his life changing win on Monday morning and said his new-found fortune was a “hell of a shock”.

“I’m just so dumbfounded. I can’t believe it. I’m supposed to go to work later tonight for a 12-hour shift but maybe I won’t,” he said.

“I’m going to tell my wife and daughter straight away. I think they’ll react the same as me – shock!”

The lucky winner said the unexpected win could allow him to settle into an early retirement and ensure his daughter was looked after in the future.

“Retirement is definitely on the cards and I’ll possibly be able to set my daughter up,” he revealed.

The man purchased his winning ticket at Hasting’s Gold Mine, where 29 division one winning tickets were previously sold.

Owners Wayne and Sharon Magdziarz said they were “thrilled” to have another winning entry.

“What an amazing win. This is our 30th division one winning entry here at the Goldmine and we’ve started to already celebrate with gold balloons and large posters,” Ms Magdziarz said.

“We’re also offering all of our customers and the Hastings community 30 per cent off gifts to celebrate our 30th division one winner.”

The winning numbers in Tattslotto draw 4453 were 12, 17, 1, 32, 16 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 34.
