4pm update: Geraldton Greenough State Emergency Service volunteers are preparing to leave the scene of a collision between a quad bike and a trail bike at the Greenough River mouth.

Emergency Services in Geraldton are currently attending an unfolding incident after a quad bike crashed in Cape Burney.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the incident was initially reported at 1.32pm today near Double Beach at the Greenough River mouth.

“Geraldton Greenough State Emergency Services were requested to attend and assist St John Ambulance with an incident” she said.

“The SES unit is due to depart shortly, however I’m unable to comment what has happened other than the crash involved a quad bike and a trail bike.”

The Geraldton Guardian has been unable to make contact with St John Ambulance to establish any injuries to the parties involved.
