The community gathered at the Katanning Country Club on Wednesday evening for a relaxed business barbecue aimed at bringing locals together during challenging times.

With rising costs and ongoing fuel pressures impacting the region, the event offered local business owners and their teams a chance to pause, connect and have open conversations about the realities they’re facing.

A sausage sizzle and open bar helped create a welcoming atmosphere, with businesses encouraged to bring along staff and family members for the evening.

Financial counsellors and support services were also on hand, providing a space for anyone needing advice or a chat.

More than just a social event, the barbecue was about checking in, strengthening connections and reminding the community that no one is facing these challenges alone.

The event was supported by Katanning Regional Business Association, Katanning Community Resource Centre and Shire of Katanning.
