Anzac services to take place across region
ANZAC Day ceremonies will take place is several locations throughout the shires of Harvey and Waroona, giving residents an opportunity to pay their respects during the national day of remembrance on April 25.
Yarloop will hold the first commemorative service, beginning at 5.30 am at the Anzac memorial site on Railway Parade. After the dawn service will be a barbecue breakfast.
The Waroona dawn service is at 6am at the Waroona War Memorial on the corner of South Western Highway and Parnell Street.
After the service, there will be a gunfire breakfast.
Later in the morning, Waroona will also host a march from Memorial Hall to the war memorial, where there will be a day service at 11am, followed by a fellowship at 12pm.
Harvey residents are invited to attend a 6am service at the war memorial on the corner of Young Street and Uduc Road, which will be followed by a sausage sizzle.
At 10am people can assemble at Partons IGA on Uduc Road for the 10.40am main service, which will be followed by refreshments.
Binningup will hold a dawn service at 6am at the country club on Lakes Road, followed by a sausage sizzle, and in Brunswick people can assemble at 7.15am at Ambulance Hall for a 7.45am main service at the Town Hall followed by a sausage sizzle.
