Five students from Australind Senior High School have spent the past week at the Tronox Kemerton site transforming a white wall into a work of art.

Earlier this year, Cristal joined with Tronox to become one of the biggest titanium dioxide manufacturers globally.

As with any new business venture, new values for employees have been put in place.

Thanks to the efforts of Year 11 Australind High School students Brie Weston, Libby Adcock, Travis Campbell, Dylan Hanson and George Knight, these new values are now represented on the wall at the Kemerton site of Tronox.

The designer behind the work of art, Brie Weston, said she drew inspiration from the merging of the two companies.

“I wanted to incorporate Tronox’s values,” Brie said.

“The sunset represents the diversity and the colours rising up show the two companies coming together.”

“Travis painted most of the sky, Libby painted the dunes, and we all helped out with the logo, so it was a team effort.”

Tronox Kemerton site director John Dallywater said the company was proud to continue the longstanding relationship it had with the school.

“This was a great opportunity for students to have the experience of seeing their design come to life on a large scale,” Mr Dallywater said.

“It has been great to see employees engaging with the students and understanding how their design represented our values and diversity.”
