Brunswick’s traditional country bakers have recognised a need for delivery during the pandemic and are now kneading their dough in new ways to meet demand.

Pizzas have hit the menu on Friday and Saturday nights and will be available for delivery.

Country Traditional Bakery manager Narash Kumar, or as his customers call him “Nick”, said he was proud to offer this service to the Brunswick community.

“We don’t have any pizza shops and people either have to drive 20km to Harvey or 18km to Eaton to get a pizza,” Mr Kumar said.

“During the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people would prefer to not leave the house, so we wanted to offer a delivery service for them.”

Peperoni, margarita, smoky chicken bacon, meat lovers and peri peri chicken are just some of the new flavours. There is also a Brunswick special with bacon, ham, Italian sausage, peperoni and beef. As well as vegetarian options. Mr Kumar is the new store manager after the the premise made the switch from Eziway to IGA Xpress earlier this year.
