The Harvey Basketball Association wrapped up the season with grand final games and award presentations at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre on March 25.

Incoming president Natalie Fimmano acknowledged the fantastic work of Kylie Brandis, who had to stand down as president in October due to work commitments.

The title in the men's competition went to the Bulls.

“It was a very successful season with more than 280 juniors registered,”she said.

“We had about 50 more kids than previously, increasing team numbers from 24 to 30, and it was pleasing to see more girls taking up basketball.

The Cruisers won the women's competition.

“Hopefully these numbers will stay strong in the coming season and we will again be able to give our junior players the experience to participate in regional carnivals and country championships.

The Saints were the division 1 girls winners.

“The committee, with some new faces, has worked very hard and did a great job and provided a safe and happy environment for everyone from Year 3 juniors to seniors.”

Mavericks won division 3 boys.
