Book heroes come to life

Harvey Primary School students celebrated literary works of all forms last Tuesday with costume parades and activities for Book Week.

With this year’s theme being ‘reading is my super power’, students were encouraged to dress up in their favourite superhero book character.

A parade of costumes took place at the school on Tuesday morning which saw prizes awarded to the best dressed in each class.

Special guest and Harvey’s principal librarian Ruth Campbell-Hicks also attended the event dressed as popular comical character Captain Underpants.
