The Brunswick Junction Australia Day breakfast will hit a milestone anniversary when the Brunswick Lions Club light up the grills on January 26.

The breakfast will again be held at the Brunswick Showgrounds’ Pearson Pavilion, and organisers hope the 25th year will be one to remember.

“It’s our 25th year of doing the breakfast,” Brunswick Lions Club president Andy Dalton said.

“We want to thank the community for supporting this event for 25 years.”

About 350 to 400 people attend the buffet breakfast each year making it one of the biggest community events of the year.

“It’s a big thing for Brunswick,” Mr Dalton said.

“The whole community gets behind it, everyone gets involved.”

The buffet breakfast runs from 7am to 9.30am, but organisers say most people stick around until almost 11am for a cuppa and a chat.

Entry by gold coin donation at the door will go towards the costs of next year’s breakfast.
