Youth Minister Dave Kelly announced the recipients of 44 youth grants which included the shires of Harvey, Waroona and Murray. The grants will go towards Youth Week WA, which aims to celebrate the significant contributions young people make to the community. The Shire of Murray and the Shire of Waroona each received $2500, while the Shire of Harvey received $1500. Mrs Clarke said “Youth Week is a great time to highlight and celebrate the fantastic contributions of young people to our community here in Murray-Wellington”. “We have some great young leaders in Murray-Wellington and I look forward to working with them in the years to come,” she said. Mr Kelly said the theme for Youth Week this year was “Our Path” which calls on young people to express what is important to them and reflect on their life journey and the choices they make for the future.
