Harry Potter, Willy Wonka and Buzz Light Year were among the popular characters who last week visited Kingston Primary School to celebrate Book Week.

Students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 dressed up as every book character imaginable to participate in a celebration parade. Deputy principal Anne Curd said it was amazing to see so many energetic young minds embracing their love of books.

“Reading is fundamental for development and a fun way to celebrate reading,” Ms Curd said.

Principal Ashley King, who dressed up as Willy Wonka, said the students were very creative to mark the occasion.
