Waroona Demons said goodbye to one of their key players, Jordan Sell, at last week’s game against Centrals.

The 29-year-old played his last game with the Demons on Sunday, June 9 before packing his bags and heading to England for an exchange scholarship program.

Following his rein as captain of Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault back in 2016, Sell moved to Perth to start his studies and undertake a teaching degree.

It wasn’t long before moving to Perth that Sell was picked up by the Waroona Demons.

This year he played nine games with the Demons as a half-back flanker and coach Matt Templeton said he would be missed around the club.

“We knew at the start of the season he was only going to play a half season,” Templeton said.

“While he was studying in Perth we wanted to get him along to have a try at the club and he seemed to enjoy it and now unfortunately we’re losing his services for the rest of the year.”

Templeton said Sell wore the No.17 guernsey with pride.

“I think he got best on ground for two out of three first games,” he said.

“We will all miss him and his talent at the Demons.”
