The Harvey Christmas Markets were held on December 7 at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre.

Handcrafted woodwork, fresh honey and jewellery were just some of the goods showcased by stallholders.

There was even a special visit from Santa and a bouncy castle which kept the children entertained.

Market coordinator Gail Spiers said the markets attracted visitors from out of town.

“They have been running for the past eight years and the last market had about 60 stalls,” Mrs Spiers said.

Aged 96, market veteran Emanuel Hintz, of Bunbury, was one of the 45 stallholders at the recent markets.

Succulent enthusiast Roma Murray was also among the stallholders and has been to every market this year.

“The markets are very good for the community,” Mrs Murray said.

The next markets in Harvey are scheduled for June next year.
