Harvey Hawks open South West Soccer Association Men’s Division One season with 7-1 win over Bunbury Dynamos

The Harvey Hawks opened their South West Soccer Association men’s division one season with a thumping 7-1 win over Bunbury Dynamos at Forrest Park on Sunday. A strong start saw the Hawks lead 2-0 at the main break and the floodgates opened in the second half, pouring on five goals to seal a big win. Julian Italiano, Nicholas Zappia and Leigh Vaughan each scored two goals as the attacking load was shared in the win, while Antonio Veltro chipped in with one. Pavlov Okyere scored the Dynamos’ only goal. The club is also currently seeking registrations for their midweek MiniRoos program for children aged between four and seven years old. The program starts on May 2 and runs on every Thursday for eight weeks, with parents able to register via the link on the club’s Facebook page. The Hawks’ senior side crashed out of the Pioneer Cup last weekend after being beaten 6-0 by Australind.
