Harvey shire adopts new efficient streetlight policy

A South West shire has adopted a new streetlight policy, bringing more efficient lightning to parks, roads and sidewalks. The Shire of Harvey’s streetlight policy will introduce more energy-efficient LED lights across the region. Most of the shire’s streetlights are installed and maintained by Western Power, with the shire primarily managing its own lighting in parks and reserves. The new policy will see the the local government request that Western Power use primarily LED lightning for all streetlights, offering the longest life and least maintenance for all lights around the shire. The shire will also be using LED lighting in public areas when installing new ones.
