Harvey Supa IGA staff raise the bra for cause
Harvey Supa IGA and the generous community have raised funds for Breast Cancer Care WA through the Purple Bra Day fundraiser again this year.
Enthusiastic staff donned purple bras and turned the store purple in order to create awareness for the cause. Breast Cancer Care WA provides specialised breast care nursing, counselling and financial support to people affected by breast cancer.
Grocery manager Renee Bennet said the store raised $420.85.
“We would just like to thank all of our fantastic customers,” she said.
Supervisor Kaitlyn Butler said there was “so much energy” in the store over the three days it was held last month.
“Our customers are phenomenal and were so generous,” she said.
“We got some giggles because we were wearing the purple bras over our shirts, but so many people put their change in the donation tins and it was fantastic to help out,” she said.
Breast Cancer Care WA thanked the Harvey community for its support. “We are so grateful for the wonderful support, bravo to you all.”
