Dog owners will be able to pamper their pooches after the installation of Harvey’s first DIY dog wash.

The $70,000 installation will be available 24/7, behind the new Harvey Veterinary clinic on Uduc Road.

Mucky Pups Self Service Dog Wash owners Rachel Roney and partner Steve said they were excited about starting up the pooch pampering service in Harvey.

“It’s just like a car wash, but for dogs,” Mrs Roney said.

The pair also own the service in Collie.

They started the business after struggling to find someone to wash their dog.

“We thought ‘if we are having this problem, then other people might be too’,” Mrs Roney said.

Dogs can receive a wash, shampoo, flea and tick treatment and blow dry.

“It’s all natural treatment, even the flea and tick is plant-based.”

Each wash will cost $10 for 10 minutes or $11 for 11 minutes. After the bath, dog owners disinfect the tub for the next dog.

There is also a treat dispenser with pig ears, liver and kangaroo chews for mischievous dogs who dislike bathtime.

However, cat owners need not fret, with some Collie residents saying the dog wash is perfect for felines too.

The bubble bath for furry friends opened last Friday.
