Landholders in Leschenault Estuary catchment area are being encouraged to attend a workshop about waterway restoration. The Leschenault Catchment Council will hold the on-property session in Roelands on Saturday, with attendees able to learn about the benefits of stock exclusion, fencing and re-establishing waterway vegetation. It will include practical presentation on riparian vegetation from specialist Brendan Oversby, advice on weed management from the Leschenault Biosecurity Group and tips for increasing fauna habitat. There will also be time to answer property-specific questions about topics raised. The workshop has been sponsored by Healthy Estuaries WA, a State Government program designed to improve the health of the region’s estuaries.
