As the Waroona Amateur Basketball Association’s summer competition approaches the home stretch towards the finals, Magic have extended their undefeated streak to a ninth win.

Round 12 of the Waroona Amateur Basketball Association’s 2022-23 summer competition was held on Wednesday at the Waroona Recreation and Aquatic Centre.

In the men’s competition, a 20-point haul from Theo Kearing helped the Magic earn themselves a ninth consecutive win, defeating the Bush Chooks 62-42.

The Bush Chooks looked to go big and claim an upset in the second round since the mid-season break but Magic proved too strong, coming away with the 20-point win.

Bulls defeated Rent-A-Crowd 44-35 to record their first win of the season, while an exciting match-up between the Suns and the Warriors ended in a 42-all tie.

Round 13 will see the Bulls go up against Kings, Warriors will go head-to-head with Magic, and Suns will take on Rent-A-Crowd, with matches set to take place on Wednesday.

In the women’s competition, Phoenix defeated Blue Birds 39-25, while the match between Kings and Cruisers ended in a forfeit.

Round 13 will see Blue Birds take on Group Therapy, Young Bloods go up against Kings, and Slammers will take on Phoenix.
