Man dies near Waroona

A man died this morning in Waroona after he was hit by a big section of a tree while working from a cherry picker.

St John Ambulance staff attended the scene but the man in his 40s died as a result of his injuries.

Police believe the man was hit by a section of the tree causing the cherry picker to fall to the ground.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner and WorkSafe will conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
