Lawn bowlers from around the South West rolled into Binningup last month for the opening of the new Binningup Bowling Club greens.

Harvey shire president Paul Gillett and manager of community and economic development Patrick Quinlivan christened the greens with the first bowl.

Binningup captain Kim Ward said the facilities had taken four months to complete and are state-of-the-art.

The Harvey Shire Council contributed $84,250 towards the greens, which is one of the four bowling clubs in the shire.
