The Waroona Amateur Basketball Association’s leading teams proved once again they have earned their spots on the ladder as the fourth round took place on Wednesday.

Last week’s competition was highly competitive in some matches, while others were characterised by mild losses for the defeated sides.

In the senior men’s matches, the second-placed Kings moved to the top of the ladder with a 54-28 win over Rent-A-Crowd.

They take the crown from the undefeated Magic side, who will return to the court this week following their bye.

The Suns proved to be too hot for the Bush Chooks, with the latter going down 39-14.

The Suns’ Dion Pisconeri was the player to score in the double digits, landing 12 points.

The Warriors and the Bulls match was a much closer affair. However, the Bulls could not charge their way to victory and went down 47-52.

Warriors player Ezekiel Jetta helped his side to victory by scoring 17 points.

In the women’s competition, the top of the ladder Cruisers easily defeated the Slammers 28-15.

No player scored double digits, but the Cruisers’ Jennifer Hayes came close with nine points.

Phoneix scored the biggest win of the round with their 63-31 result over the bottom-of-the-ladder Group Therapy.

Scoring 22 points, Libbie Gaston was responsible for a third of her team’s final tally.

Despite a second half resurgence from the Young Bloods, the Blue Birds just managed to get over the line 30-29.

Young Bloods’ Makkiah Dittmann and the Blue Birds’ Shardah Jetta-Farmer finished the match with 14 and 13 points respectively.
