Harvey Library is holding scrabble sessions every Friday between 11am and 2pm for the next few months.

The timeless word-building game can be enjoyed by people of all ages and has been known to benefit mental health, particularly those with memory or cognitive problems.

Harvey shire principal librarian Ruth Campbell-Hicks said Scrabble Fridays were a great way for people to meet up and have some fun.

“Scrabble is the sort of game lots of people enjoy and can be included in, so we thought why not make it an ongoing thing at the Harvey Library,” she said.

“It offers an opportunity for people to come together and socialise in a friendly and relaxed environment.”

If stringing a few words together sounds like something you may be interested in, head over to the Harvey Library this Friday.
