Waroona defeat South Mandurah to claim top spot in the Wyllie Cup

Waroona sit atop the Wyllie Cup ladder after claiming a bonus-point victory over South Mandurah. The visitors lost the toss and were sent in to bowl, having early success when Zachary Moody (5-24 off 10 overs) removed Lewis Pegler with the fifth ball of the match. South Mandurah tried to steady before losing three wickets to leave them 4-34, and were unable to wrestle back momentum, eventually being bowled out for 124. Waroona lost Rhys Bloxsidge early in reply before the familiar partnership of Brandon Burt (25) and Jayden Derosa (52 not out) took the reins. The visitors reached the total four wickets down in the 34th over to claim top spot for the first time this year.
