More than 100 people put on their thinking caps for the Yarloop Community Resource Centre quiz night last month.

A total of 112 participants across 14 teams tested their knowledge, reasoning and logic in the formal quiz sections plus a series of spot-prize questions.

Yarloop CRC manager Julie-Ann Ford said she was pleased so many people had come along to support the event.

“It was a really good night,” she said.

“It was great to get people from other towns coming here to use the facility, and getting that support from them. Hopefully we can make it an annual event.”

The quiz, held on June 26 and sponsored by Alcoa, was emceed by Yarloop police sergeant Wayne Byram.

“Wayne really livened things up,” Mrs Ford said.

The Yarloop Bowling Club came in first place, winning a $200 voucher from Cafe on Uduc.

The police table, with officers and staff from the Harvey and Yarloop stations, came second.
