There was plenty of junior action at the Harvey Recreation Ground on the weekend as young cricketers from three towns enjoyed an afternoon on the turf.

The Harvey-Benger Cricket Club hosted a Cricket Blaster Carnival, with players from Binningup, Harvey and Waroona participating.

Over 30 participants enjoyed playing ‘real cricket’ on the turf and an adjacent oval.

Harvey-Benger Cricket Club president Haydn Jones said it was great for smaller towns to come together and enjoy an afternoon of cricket.

The event helped to keep young players interested, while developing their cricket and social skills.

Volunteers were thanked for their assistance with organising the day.
