Young Talent Time alumna Karen Knowles will be heading to Harvey for the 2024 Music in the Gardens concert.

The singer and TV personality will headline the popular event in March with her much-loved standards and hits, as well as brand new music from her latest albums Solid Ground and Sanctuary.

Hailing from Melbourne, Knowles said country people were warm and welcoming, and with some of her family coming from WA she feels like she’s “coming home” when she visits the State.

“We love the beauty of Harvey and the South West,” she said.

“It’ll be a beautiful warm sound and we are so looking forward to creating some magic in that space.”

Shire of Harvey president Michelle Campbell said the shire was increasingly attracting top-tier performers to develop the local entertainment offering.

“Music in the Gardens was the first major event set to wow crowds in 2024, which would be followed by hotly anticipated shows from rising star Tarryn Stokes and opera sensation Marina Prior,” she said.

“I’m so happy to welcome Karen back after her incredible performance at the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre last year.

“We are thrilled to have her perform at Stirling Cottage Gardens and we’re excited for a great show and probably a fair bit of singing along in the audience too!”

Music in the Gardens will be opened by South West talent Southern Sky Duo, which has planned an acoustic showcase.

The event will be held on Sunday, March 3, at the Stirling Cottage Gardens from 4pm. For more information visit harveyrec.com
