Goldfields hockey star Chris Souchon complemented an impressive season with All-Australian selection at the national country championships in Albany.

Souchon starred in a WA team that included fellow Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association players Zane Soper and Jon Bates, and Andrew Hoare as team manager.

WA finished in overall second place, losing 5-0 to Queensland in last Saturday’s gold medal clash.

EGHA president Daniel Lavery praised each of the locals.
