Three day tourism conference in Kalgoorlie-Boulder this month

A three day tourism conference will take place in Kalgoorlie-Boulder later this month as the Goldfields city plays hosts to some of Tourism Council WA’s biggest names.
The 2023 Perth Airport WA Regional Tourism Conference will include presentations and panel discussions with local operators, Statewide groups and national bodies.
It is set be held from May 15 to May 17 to provide delegates with “unrivalled opportunities” for professional and business development, networking and engagement with industry colleagues, and the chance to hear from industry-leading speakers on critical industry issues and innovative ideas.
Federal Tourism Minister Senator Don Farrell will be joined by his State colleague Roger Cook as well as City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler.
The first morning will include closed sessions for visitor centre representatives before the event and exhibitions are officially opened after lunch.
A panel of local speakers will address the crowd with Patrick Hill, Kim Eckert, Tim Moore, Sue Hanson, Edie Ulrich and Danny Ulrich locked in to present prior to a networking function at the Museum of the Goldfields.
On May 16, conference sessions will be hosted by government agency speakers and International keynote speaker John Barrett from Kapiti Island Nature Tours and Nature Lodge in New Zealand who will discussion international perspectives on Indigenous tourism.
From 6pm at a “secret location” delegates will gather for a gala dinner and the 7NEWS Top Tourism Town Awards and 2023 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.
On the final day, there will be a networking breakfast followed by a hop-on, hop-off tour of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
