City of Greater Geraldton calls on public to report potholes to keep streets safe and maintain road quality

See a pothole, report a pothole — that’s the message the City of Greater Geraldton has for the community. In a bid to keep streets safe and maintain the quality of our roads, the city is urging people to report any potholes they come across. City CEO Ross McKim said repairing potholes saved resources and improved community safety. “We have more than 820km of sealed roads throughout the city region, and with all the rain we’ve been having lately, potholes can develop just about anywhere,” he said. “It’s important to get these fixed as quickly as possible to prevent water getting under the pavement surface, which can result in deeper damage and a bigger paving repair down the line. “While fixing potholes is not a long-term solution, it does resolve the safety hazards they create for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.” People can report potholes by calling the city on 9956 6600, filling out the online form at www.cgg.wa.gov.au/forms/report-a-pothole/135, or by using the Snap Send Solve app.
