Chapman Valley’s Tayah Palmer and Northampton’s Tiani Teakle helped East Fremantle to a maiden Rogers Cup victory over Peel Thunder on Saturday morning.

Palmer was deadly up forward booting three majors while Tiani Teakle — sister of recent Port Adelaide draftee Julia and cousin of fellow Port mid-season rookie Brynn — also found the goals as the Sharks cruised to a 12.6 (78) to 2.5 (17) win.

The Sharks jumped out of the blocks and kept the Thunder goalless after half time to run out deserved victors.

Palmer was one of the best afield which allowed the Sharks to get something out of a rather disappointing day overall.

The undefeated WAFLW team fell at the final hurdle losing to Claremont 6.2 (38) to 7.4 (46) while the WAFLW reserves also went down to Claremont 23 to 14.
