A free workshop aims to empower people in Narrogin to create new and immersive tourism experiences to bring tourists to the region.

Running on October 26, the Tourism Experience Workshop is open to those looking to learn more about tourism development.

It is a workshop tailored to WA regional businesses wanting to use tourism as an additional income stream focusing on specialities like agritourism, dark sky tourism, wildflower tourism and glamping.

“An immersive tourism experience usually involves an interactive activity with a particular place, developed through active and meaningful engagement with its history, people, culture, food and environment,” a Tourism WA spokesperson said.

“The Tourism Experience Workshops will provide both existing tourism operators as well as those considering developing tourism experiences with information on recent consumer research funded by Tourism WA.”

Presented by Tourism WA, the workshop will run at Downderry Wines, 25 Graham Road in Dumberning from 1pm to 4.30pm.

It will feature industry expertise and give attendees the chance to participate in one-on-one consultations after the workshop. Register via Eventbrite before October 26.
