Singer-songwriter Sue Bluck is coming to Narrogin to put on an uplifting performance to bring back some fun after a stressful year.

Feeling Good will run at Narrogin Town Hall on June 12, aiming to give audiences a warm and sophisticated show that leaves them feeling good.

“That was the idea after COVID, to make people feel good because we all needed to,” tour producer Pippa Davis said.

“It’s a really good snapshot of jazz over the ages but it’s also songs that make you feel good, songs that people recognise, songs that you'll love.”

Featuring the talents of long-time musicians Garry Howard, Joseph Powell and John Pinis with Bluck performing and acting as musical director, the quartet will bring to life songs from artists such as Peggy Lee, Nina Simone and Carole King.

Stories and history will weave throughout the performance with members sharing their own insights gained from a lifetime of music.

“Snippets about their personal life, what influenced them. Some of them were really big women’s libbers — they broke the ground rules, they went against the current thoughts that women shouldn't do anything,” Ms Davis said.

“Sue has got a pretty extensive knowledge of their lives as well as their music and finally she's decided to put them together to make a cohesive show.”

Narrogin will also be treated to an exclusive, extra hour of performance at the show’s end when the audience will be given the chance to let their hair down and have a dance.

“After a short break at the end, they’re going to play some dance music for people at the end to get up and have a bit of a boogie,” Ms Davis said.
