Greenfields: 83-year-old man bashed by three teenagers over moped in Perth’s south

Detectives are on the hunt for three teenagers after an elderly man was bashed for his moped in Greenfields yesterday.

The man, aged 83, was assaulted in the area bounded by Murdoch Drive and Mandurah, Pinjarra and Lakes roads about 5.30pm, when the group of youths tried to make the steal.

Police said the alleged attack left him with a large wound to his head and bruising across his face and body.

The victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance last night.

He was in a stable condition in the State trauma unit this morning.

Mandurah detectives have asked anyone with CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area between 4pm and 6.30pm to upload the vision.
