A 17-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a Jeep in Shelley last night.

The crash happened about 5.25pm, when the black Jeep Compass and a blue Yamaha motorcycle collided at the intersection of Cordell Street and Modillion Avenue.

The teenage boy on the motorcycle suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance but later died.

The 40-year-old female driver of the Jeep was uninjured.
